The GMT Master is Rolex’s signature pilot’s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It’s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it’s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1971 example is in overall beautiful condition. It features a lovely "Pepsi" bezel that has faded beautifully over the years. The lume has all aged pretty evenly to a beautiful buttery yellow color. The combination of the faded "Pepsi" colored bezel and nicely aged lume gives this GMT a great vintage aesthetic. This watch has what collectors refer to as a Mark 1 "Long E" dial and the defining characteristic of this is the "E" in Rolex. The central bar in the letter is the same length as the top and bottom one, in addition to the "E" the Rolex coronet has a unique look for this dial type.

Great and easy transaction. Very professional and communicative. For sure a solid experience.
Great watch and very good help from Sam Berger who catered to my concerns.

Well represented watch in excellent condition. Super fast shipping. My second purchase from Bobs but not my last. Their watches seem to be in better condition than many of the others I’ve seen online.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
