The colors have remained strong. Inner case back is stamped: 1675. Serial and reference numbers are crisp and legible. Acrylic crystal has some surface wear. |

This Rolex watch is in vintage condition with surface wear through out. The case is in great condition with scratches and has been polished. The red back bezel is in great condition with some wear and the colors have remained vibrant. The bracelet is a slightly later replacement.

The GMT Master is Rolex’s signature pilot’s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It’s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it’s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1977 example is in overall beautiful and honest condition. It features a lovely "Pepsi" bezel that has remained vibrant over the years. The lume has all aged pretty evenly to a beautiful eggshell color. The combination of the iconic "Pepsi" colored bezel and whiteish colored lume gives this GMT the quintessential GMT vibe. This watch has what collectors refer to as a Mark 5 dial and the defining characteristic of this is the placement of the "M" in "Master" over the "CH" in chronometer, the right vertical bar bisects the two letters. If you are looking for a classic GMT with matte dial and vibrant "Pepsi" bezel this one is worth considering.

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
