| Case: | Excellent stainless steel case which has been polished previously and shows wear from use. Inner case back is stamped: 5512. The case has scratches and nicks along the edges, the case has a more notable indentation along the bottom edge of the case at eight o'clock. The acrylic crystal has some wear. |
| Dial: | Honest feet first dial that has aged and developed patina throughout. The dial has aged completely and in such a way that close up, it looks like tiny dots and crazed. The lume on the dial and in the hands has all aged to chalky white color. Some lume plots on the dial have developed small areas of dark patina and some plots show signs of degradation. |
| Bracelet: | Excellent 93150 stainless steel Oyster with 11 links, 501B end links and divers extension. The bracelet is a later replacement and the back of the clasp is stamped W3 indicating it is from 1995. The bracelet shows wear, has scratches throughout and has stretch between the links. |

This Rolex watch is in vintage condition. The case has been polished and has scratches and signs of wear. The bezel has remained in great condition over the years with some wear and scratches. The dial has developed an interesting and consistent patina on the dial. The lume has all aged very similarly and presents as a chalky white color with some patina.

Rolex made the reference 5513 from around 1962 to 1989 and here is a later example from circa 1988. The defining characteristics of these last generation 5513's would be the white gold borders around the hour markers, this is known as "white gold surrounds." This is a characteristic that started in the mid-late 1980s and is still featured on Submariners of this day. The dial on this watch has aged in an interesting way, the whole dial has developed a pretty even patina where it almost looks like stingray skin. In the world of watch collecting rarity is a big factor and when dials age like this it makes them essentially unique because no two will age exactly the same. This example is in overall great, honest condition and would be perfect for someone looking to dip their toes in the world of vintage sports Rolex.
