This Rolex watch is in overall great, honest vintage condition. The case is in good condition with some wear and scratches, it appears to have been lightly polished. The bezel is in great condition with some light wear and a scratch through the "10." The colors have remained vibrant. The dial and hands are in great condition with light patina. The lume in the hands and on the dial have aged to a close to matching off white, cream color. The hands have developed patina. The bracelet is a later service replacement and is in great condition with light wear. The bracelet currently on the watch would have been the same solid link style as the original would have been, so it has the same feel and look as what would have originally come on it.

The GMT Master is Rolex’s signature pilot’s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It’s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it’s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1978 example is in overall beautiful and honest condition. It features a lovely "Pepsi" bezel that has remained vibrant over the years. The lume has all aged pretty evenly to a beautiful off white, cream color. The combination of the iconic "Pepsi" colored bezel and cream colored lume gives this GMT the quintessential GMT vibe.
This watch has what collectors refer to as a Mark 3 "Radial" dial and the defining characteristic of this is placement and size of the lume plots. They are placed a bit further away from the minute hash-marks giving this dial a distinct look. The "Radial Dial" is one of the most sought after matte dial variations due to its unique appearance.

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
