The Rolex Presidential Day-Date was developed in 1956. The first calendar watch to offer both a day and date aperture; the Day-Date has come to symbolize Rolex's ability to create high-performance and extremely well-made timepieces. The particular reference 118239 that is offered here today features solid 18 karat white gold in a satin and high-polish finish. A COSC certified calibre 3155 self-winding movement is built to include a date and calendar wheel as well as a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and a 48-hour power reserve. A sapphire crystal and a Twinlock screw-down crown protect the intricate movement within the case for years of reliable readings.
