The Cartier Santos is well renowned as one of the world’s first-ever pilot watches. In 1906, Brazilian aviator, Alberto Santos-Dumont requested a special edition timepiece that could be worn on his wrist during aviation, rather than referencing a pocket watch. Since its original launch with its iconic rectangular case and exposed screws on the bezel, the Santos collection released updated versions including the patented QuickSwitch and SmartLinks system and a smoother case design.
