This Rolex watch is in overall excellent condition with minor surface wear to the yellow gold parts of the watch.

Three different generations of movements have powered the Cosmograph Daytona since it came to market in the 1960s. First, there was the outsourced hand-wound generation, followed by the Zenith El Primero generation via caliber 4030, which was also outsourced. Rolex didn't manufacture the Daytona movement in-house until 2000 when the Rolex caliber 4130 hit the market. Ref. 16523 is a very prized collector's item, complete with the discontinued Zenith El Primero movement. It's an important part of Rolex history that will impress even the most die-hard Rolex collectors. The example you see here also features a classic two-tone finish, handsome white dial, and yellow gold Tachymeter bezel.
