| Case: | 14k yellow gold (34mm) w/ Smooth bezel and acrylic crystal. The inside caseback is marked "1500." The case has been polished and has scratches. The caseback shows signs of polishing and scratches. The gold hallmarks are clearly present on the back of the lugs. The date wheel is a later replacement. The crystal is a later replacement and has light wear. The numbers between the lugs are clearly visible. |

The "Swiss" text at the bottom is mostly worn away. The text on the upper part of the dial shows some wear. The dial has an underline on it above the six o'clock hour marker. |

This Rolex watch is in overall vintage condition with surface wear to the bracelet, case and bezel. Dial shows spotting and patina from natural exposure. The bracelet has some stretch between the links and is in overall great condition.

Subtle yet impressive in design, this Rolex Date is ideal for everyday wear. The sleek 34mm Oyster case is equipped with a sturdy waterproof screw-down down to protect the 1560 perpetual movement inside. The all 14k gold construction of the case adds to its impressive design. The silver dial is set with gold index hour markers and hands. One of the most recognizable features of this wristwatch is the iconic automatically changing date window with magnifying cyclops lens that is prominently displayed at the three hour marker. A feature that made watch history when it was introduced with the first Datejust in 1945. Making this example a bit more special is a little horizonal line printed on the dial above six o'clock. Collectors refer to dials with a line like this as "Underline Dials." Rolex has never confirmed this, but the consensus in the collecting community is that the underline signifies when Rolex went from using less radioactive lume on the watches. They transitioned from radium to tritium around 1962-1963, just like when this watch is from.
