The Air-King is an entry-level Rolex that was developed to honor the pilots of the British Royal Air Force. The inspiration behind the watch came from the pilots' preference for their personal Rolex wristwatches of their military-issued timepieces. Hans Wilsdorf set out to release an affordable tribute watch, and the Air-King, which was a member of the Air Series collection at the time, was the result. The Rolex 114200 for sale here is a modern take on the stainless steel Air-King that includes a 34mm waterproof Oyster case, a traditional flat-link bracelet, and a stunning white dial adorned with lumed baton and Arabic numeral hour markers. The result is a versatile, all-occasion luxury watch that begs to be worn.
